Melaque Skim 2010

One of the most fun spectator events in the area and something I always tried not to miss. Presented by X3Mex, Victoria and RedBull. Always somewhere in Villa Obregon but the last few have been held near Laguna del Tule motel of the south end of the beach.

X3Mex Skim board Contest Melaque 2008 - February 1st,2nd and 3rd

Last years contest was a success and well attended but this year it even looks to be larger. Last year there was only one surfer from Acapulco - this year there will be four. Also a promise a of few more guys from the US.

This is a little early to post this event but I have a neighbor that will be competing and he keeps reminding me it's coming.

X3MEX - Melaque Skim 2007

There was enough surf to hold the competition in Melaque but it's always questionable this time of year. I just threw these fotos together to get the feeling of it. As always it takes 20 fotos to get a good one. At times the photographers were getting in each others way - at least in mine! There were guys from up and down the coast - as far as Acapulco - and one guy from California
