Closed landfill in Cuastecomates

In an act in favor of ecology and tourism image, the municipal government of Cihuatlán closed landfill located on the road to Cuastecomate.

Mayor Jesús Huerta Aguilar says that the municipal government is acting against environmental pollution, urging people to avoid the proliferation of illegal dumping.

He said they have acquired more garbage trucks to improve garbage collection service in all cihuatlenses communities. (27 November 2014)

50 years over due says the article on Canal235 but it's agreed a better entrance to "Playa del Sol" and Villa Obregon is needed. Looks like that pile of dirt mean the street is closed for the work  I'll check it out later today.

Playa Cuastecomatita closed totally

This used to be a nice little hike to a quiet beach past the Mirador on the west end of the bay. It looks like the whole area has development plans or maybe someone just needs privacy. Security now is walls, strong gates, barbed wire, razor wire and large guard dogs
